We often get asked if we make chaps. The answer is yes, we do make
chaps, but we make our chaps custom, not "off the rack". There are
various measurements that must be taken to make sure that chaps fit
correctly. If you have ever tried on "off the rack chaps", they never
tend to fit correctly. We want your chaps to look great on you, so we
don't mass produce them. And, we don't make our legs from seperate
pieces like many chaps are made. They are one piece of leather. This
allows them to better form to your body. It costs more to make chaps
this way, but the finished product looks much better.
You can call in your order or order with a normal catalog selection,
but you are welcome to order them either way.
All of our chaps are made from a leather called butter leather. It is a
heavy glove type leather, and we only use select skins.
Before calling, please have either a tape measure or a string and a ruler
ready for the measuring process. It also helps if you have a buddy to help,
but it's not required. See photo and hints on matching the measurement requirements.
